Visual Design

"Going Green" immediately grabs your attention when looking at this page.  The white color of the text, placed in a dark area of the image creates very nice contrast that helps tie in the white cabinets.  Also the use of different fonts helps to lead your eye down the page from the image to the text below.

This page has many things that connect the images and the text, I think.  The contrast of the white and dark walls in the larger image caught my eye first in the layout.  Using the green in the larger image in the text below the image and also using the shape of the candle holder from the image beside the text ties it together.  While the shape of the candle holder comes from the top image the color of it ties together with the smaller image.  I think over all the composition of the page works well.

I chose this image because it set a very clear mood as soon as you eyes hit the page.  It is very calm and relaxing.  The use of different font types create a sense of hierarchy and more importance over other words.  Also the border around the outside of the page ties the picture to the text.
